It really did save my camera lenses, i mistakenly dropped my phone, if only there was no lense covers I would be forced to buy a new phone. But these guards really did save my camera lenses, they broke, which is not a problem for me, but they save my camera. Remember the guard is supposed to break not the thing which the guard is guarding.
